A revitalised HERMITUDE unveil their most dynamic record to date - a synth-entangled and beat drenched masterpiece titled 'Threads'.

Light years away from their instrumental hip hop origins, Hermitude blaze a trail into darker and more complex territory where drums and melody rule the Earth. From the thrilling pursuit of the computer game-esque 'Cartridge Kings' to the beautifully sombre 'Frayed', they've simultaneously increased the live instrumentation whilst short circuiting it with bass-heavy electronics. Hermitude's arrangements never remain stagnant; they mature with each minute: counter melodies enriching compositions layer upon layer. Witness the wall of orchestration toward the finale of 'The River' as a dramatic juxtaposition to its understated beginning.

LUKE DUBS and ELGUSTO (URTHBOY's producer) have moulded and finessed each piece through a concentration of dancehall and reggae; electro, latin and jazz; to cough up something wildly diversionary from hip hop.

They're also utilising a few more vocal tracks this time around; guests include soul singer STEVE CLISBY, Jamaican reggae star LUCIANO, URTHBOY, ELANA STONE and KOOLISM's HAU.

Threads will be available on CD and vinyl and is the fourth release for Hermitude - they have two LPs and two EPs out already on Elefant Traks.

Australian Customers

We’ve chosen Australia Post to handle delivery of all our orders. Australia Post offers a safe, fast, cheap and reliable service. If you’re in a rush for your purchase Express Post offers next business day delivery Australia wide. Each item in the store is individually weighed and our shipping calculator works out the actual postage cost.

Overseas Customers

For most orders we recommend Air Mail shipping, Australia’s Air Mail rates are some of the cheapest in the world and they also provide a swift shipping time. Other options include Express Post International, Express Courier International and Sea Mail.

International orders may be subject to local taxes and duties. It is the buyers responsibility to understand and pay these.

Making a Return

Australian Customers

If you change your mind after your goods have arrived you may send them back within 30 days of receipt. You must contact us for a goods return authorisation number first. No goods will be accepted without this number. Reseal the package, with your invoice attached to the front, write the return authorisation number on the back, mark it ‘Return To Sender’ and you can send it via Australia Post. If you have simply decided that you don’t want the order we will refund the value of the goods or credit the value against a future order. We regret that shipping charges are only refundable if we have made an error in the goods we have supplied or the goods are damaged.

Overseas Customers
