Hurry! Only 452 Left in Stock!
Original songs by some of Australia’s most inventive and inspired artists get rehashed and retouched by some of the classiest producers in the village. True to Elefant Traks form, the compilation is varied: in parts purified hip hop; big band and even post rock; to electronic carnivalesque dub excursions.
{Please read the next paragraph as if witnessing a feeding frenzy}Plutonic Lab remixes Hermitude, who in turn remix The Herd. The Herd members such as Sulo, Unkle Ho, Traksewt and Urthboy remix the likes of TZU, Sparrow Hill and Waiting for Guiness. Co-nominees of Triple J’s inaugural J Award Pivot recondition The Herd, as do Curse Ov Dialect and Combat Wombat. Count Bounce and Yerock (TZU) overhaul Urthboy, and ‘I Was Only 19’ is given a riotous remix by UK folktronica act Tunng. And this is just a taster of the selection.
In addition, the album version of The Herd’s cover of ‘I Was Only 19’ featuring John Schumann is included, fulfilling the promise to core fans who had bought The Sun Never Sets album before it was re-released with the track.
Trampled is released on 18-track CD. Three tracks from the CD also feature on the limited edition 7-track vinyl 12', featuring four exclusive remixes, including new Elefant Traks artists Astronomy Class, F&d (Mnemonic Ascent), Fame and Pasobionic.
Also available is an exclusive download of the heavy Resin Dogs remix of Urthboy’s ‘Come Around’ – through iTunes and Bigpond.
The Herd will celebrate the release by trampling across the country in August and September in their final tour of 2006.
